38 Years Of Serving Metro Denver
Nearly 4 decades ago, a group of three Denver area women discovered that there wasn’t a community resource for their friend who had been sexually assaulted. Together, they decided to change this. In the basement of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church they started a sexual assault hotline. Later, additional programs were added, and this organization became The Blue Bench, metro Denver’s only comprehensive sexual assault prevention and survivor support center.
April 1983, The Blue Bench (formerly known as RAAP) was incorporated as a nonprofit. In honor of the 38th anniversary of this organization that began with three caring and concerned friends, we ask that you join us for a day on The Blue Bench by donating $38.
Your gift of $38, ensures that The Blue Bench continues to serve as a vital community resource for survivors. And, The Blue Bench Board of Directors will match your donation dollar for dollar! Together, we will continue what was started nearly 40 years ago by building a more caring and supportive community free of sexual violence.
