Thank you for your support during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM)!
When I think of SAAPM and the RISE Survivor Art Show, one word comes to mind: Invaluable.
In a city as large as Denver, it is easy to feel lost and overlooked, especially when carrying trauma and trying to survive. Survivors don’t always have the luxury of having spaces solely for them.
However, The RISE Survivor Art Show gives survivor artists a home to share their most authentic and raw versions of themselves while connecting with a community over their shared experience.
Community, connection, and empathetic spaces are critical for survivors.
These spaces can be the defining difference in a survivor’s life. Knowing they can walk into spaces where they don’t have to fight to be believed, heard, or respected, can be immensely healing.
We also thank our business partners for their invaluable support during Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM).
As we continue our journey to eliminate sexual assault, we invite other pillars of our community to join us in this vital mission.
You can play a crucial role in creating safer spaces and fostering change. Let's stand together and work toward a future where everyone feels safe and respected.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Ferrick

Another successful year for the RISE Survivor Art Show.
Thank you to all our supporters who visited and shared about the third annual RISE Survivor Art Show! This year, RISE tripled in size, welcoming artists from a diverse range of disciplines and backgrounds.
Your support has helped make this event a beacon of hope and healing for survivors everywhere.
Thank you to our sponsors, Alpine Bank, Native Roots, CHFA, and Meow Wolf, for making our exhibition a success.
Your support can make a life-changing difference for survivors of sexual assault.
Victim services across Colorado are at risk of a devastating 40% to 60% cut in federal funding, known as VOCA. Without adequate funding, essential services may be forced to scale back or discontinue entirely, leaving survivors without the support they desperately need.
Here's how you can help:
Contact your representatives and urge them to vote yes on HB24-1349. This bill, also known as the Firearms and Ammunition Excise tax, will create stable funding for mental health and victim services, ensuring that survivors have access to the support they deserve.
Donate directly to our mission to eliminate sexual assault. Your donation and advocacy can make a tangible impact in the lives of survivors and help create a safer, more supportive community for all. Donate now and make your voice heard in support of survivors' rights and well-being.

Quote of the Month:
"The predator wants your silence. It feeds their power, entitlement, and they want it to feed your shame. Our bodies are not the ‘spoils of war’… a trophy to be collected to fuel your ego. It’s OURS! It doesn’t belong to you! And when you take it without permission, it DESTROYS…like a virus!"
