Internships at The Blue Bench
The Blue Bench is accepting applications for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Students are required to submit a resume and cover letter to Ana Martinez, at amartinez@thebluebench.org. Resumes are accepted starting January 8th. This will be followed by an in-person or virtual interview sometime from January through March. Additionally, all students are required to complete a background check.

Bilingual Case Manager
The Blue Bench is seeking a bilingual case manager to join the Client Services Team. This position serves as an advocate for victims of sexual assault as they navigate through the criminal justice, medical and social service communities, with a particular emphasis on Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities.
For this role, the delivery of services in Spanish is essential. The bilingual case manager assists clients with accessing needed resources, developing support systems and provides emotional support and crisis management to clients through the process of moving from being a victim to becoming a survivor; they also build and maintain partnerships in the community to support survivor needs. As a community advocate, the bilingual case manager educates the metro Denver community on the issue of sexual violence, to enhance utilization of The Blue Bench’s services by Latinx and Spanish-speaking individuals
Status: Full-Time, non-exempt
Reports To: Advocacy manager
Compensation: This is a full-time non-exempt position, and the rate of pay is $44,000 - $47,500. Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Bilingual On-Call Advocate, Part-Time
The Blue Bench is seeking a Bilingual On-Call Advocate to join the Client Services Team. This position serves as an advocate for victims of sexual assault, offering non-judgmental emotional support, crisis counseling, and information about resources in the community with a particular emphasis on Latinx and Spanish-speaking communities. For this role, the delivery of services in Spanish is essential.
The Bilingual On-Call Advocate supports survivors both on the phone and in person through our 24-hour crisis support services and provides support to On-Call volunteers. The ideal candidate is a trauma informed and compassionate advocate, who is passionate about providing emotional support to survivors, while helping them navigate their immediate and longer-term needs, and connecting them to appropriate services. They are able to stay centered and focused in the midst of high emotion, remain survivor-centered while staying aligned with the mission of the agency, be flexible and adaptable, and have a strong commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression values.

Compensation: This is a Part-Time non-exempt position, and the rate of pay is This position pays $6.50/hour for every hour spent on call not responding to calls (waiting time), plus $17.50/hour for every hour spent providing direct services (working time) or attending meetings/trainings, etc
Post-Conviction Victim Advocate
The Blue Bench is seeking a Post-Conviction Victim Advocate to join the Client Services team. This position serves as an advocate for survivors of sexual violence as they navigate the post-sentencing phase of the criminal legal system. The Post-Conviction Victim Advocate provides outreach and advocacy while assisting clients with accessing needed resources.
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Co-Director of Client Services: Advocacy
Compensation: This is a full-time non-exempt position, and the rate of pay is $50,000 - $53,500. Rate of pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Bilingual Therapist (English/Spanish)
The Blue Bench is seeking a bilingual therapist to join the Client Services Team. This position provides individual and group trauma therapy to survivors of sexual assault and sexual abuse with a particular emphasis on the Latinx community.

Therapist
The Blue Bench is seeking a therapist to join the Client Services Team. This position provides individual and group trauma therapy to survivors of sexual assault and sexual abuse; they participate in personal and professional development in order to engage in best practices. They provide clinical supervision to interns and engage in some community networking and outreach.

Community Educator, Part-time
The primary role of Community Educator is to be an engaging and professional facilitator for The Blue Bench’s Community Educational programs. Community Educators facilitate programs with a variety of community partners, including schools, parent/educator groups, service providers, youth groups, alcohol-serving establishments, people living in incarceration, and workshops open to the general public.
Status: Part-time, non- exempt
Reports To: Community Education Manager
Compensation: Hourly rate of $19.00 - $20.00, with a differential for fluent Spanish speakers.
On-Call Advocate, Part-time
The Blue Bench is seeking an On-Call Advocate to join the Client Services Team. This position serves as an advocate for victims of sexual assault, offering non-judgmental emotional support, crisis counseling, and information about resources in the community. Executive Support Specialist
The Executive Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the executive director, aiding in operational troubleshooting and coordination, and assisting the Director of Finance and Operations with various tasks. Additionally, they actively contribute to organizational initiatives and activities.
