Executive Director

Status: Full-time Exempt

Reports to: Board of Directors

The Blue Bench, metro Denver’s only comprehensive sexual assault prevention and support center, is seeking an Executive Director.

The Executive Director is the key management leader of The Blue Bench. They’re responsible for overseeing the administration and internal leadership, program management, fundraising, community outreach and overall strategy for the organization. The right candidate will have an in-depth understanding of sexual violence prevention and support services for survivors, as well as extensive non- profit industry experience. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors. The right person will also have an understanding of anti-oppression and anti-racism frameworks and how these frameworks can connect to the organization’s mission.

First and foremost, we are looking for:

  • A Visionary Leader - someone who is able to lead staff by conveying and promoting an overarching vision for the organization.
  • A Fundraiser - someone with fundraising expertise, who is comfortable talking with all levels of donors about the vision and mission of The Blue Bench and the issue of sexual assault.
  • A Relationship Builder - someone who is skilled at making connections and building relationships within the community, including foundations and corporate leaders.
  • A Skilled Facilitator and Communicator - someone who can not only communicate effectively the mission and vision of the organization, but can also manage staff communications in a way that is open, transparent and collaborative.

Crisis Hotline & Volunteer Coordinator

Status:  Full-Time Exempt
Supervision Duties: Hotline, Hospital, & Office Volunteers
Reports To:  Advocacy Manager

Job Summary: The Volunteer Coordinator oversees the recruitment, training, evaluation, engagement, and retention of all volunteers that work with the organization.  The Coordinator is responsible for successfully matching volunteer skill-sets with organizational needs to ensure a volunteer program that enhances the overall quality of services provided to agency clients.  This position serves as the coordinator and primary contact for The Blue Bench's 24-hour Hotline and Hospital Advocates, who work primarily with victims/survivors of sexual assault and abuse.  The Coordinator will provide excellent holistic support to both clients through direct service and volunteers through regular supervision.

Development Coordinator

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Reports to: Development Director

The Development Coordinator will assist in the execution of strategic fundraising and engagement efforts through special event planning and community-level engagement.  They will work with the Director of Development and other key staff to understand the program needs and the resources necessary to meet these needs. 

The successful candidate will bring passion, creativity and energy to their work, and an established record of securing major gifts from diverse sources.  The Development Coordinator will be committed to helping to eliminate sexual assault and is comfortable engaging in conversation about this issue with the community.

Director of Prevention and Education

Status: Full-Time Exempt

Reports to: Executive Director

Job Summary:  The Director of Prevention & Education is responsible for the overall administration of Prevention & Education Services. Key functions of the role include program development (all aspects from planning through evaluation and reporting), departmental strategic planning, and program implementation from a social change perspective. In a time of rapid growth, this position will ensure that the structure of the Prevention and Education department is sustainable, and our programs are scalable. This includes supervising a team of 15-20+ full-time and part-time staff members; overseeing training for all staff; developing innovative and engaging curriculum for middle school-aged participants through adults; aligning all curriculum with current best-practices and scientifically-supported approaches; building collaborative relationships with community partners; and overseeing all outreach and administrative processes.
The Director is an experienced and skilled workshop facilitator and presenter. The position requires the ability to facilitate programs in a wide range of settings, including middle schools, high schools, higher education, incarceration settings (youth and adult), bars/nightlife venues, parent and youth-serving professional organizations, and more. 

The Director of Prevention & Education is a representative of The Blue Bench in community settings and attends community meetings as an agency representative. This position requires occasional evenings and weekends; flexibility is a must. Driver's license and transportation is required for travel to training locations throughout the Denver area.
