Communications Manager

The purpose of the Communications Manager is to develop, maintain and execute strategic communications efforts with a focus in community outreach, digital engagement, branding and social media.  They will work with the Executive Director, Development Manager and other key staff to create resources necessary to meet these needs. They are instrumental in the development of all program and event materials and in managing the website.

Cross-Cultural Therapist

The purpose of the Cross-Cultural Therapist is to provide therapy and advocacy services to survivors of sexual assault and abuse with a particular emphasis on underrepresented/underserved communities.  This position also conducts community outreach to educate the community about the issue of sexual assault, to enhance utilization of The Blue Bench’s services by underserved communities, and to develop culturally relevant services.

Therapist

The purpose of this position is to provide therapy services to survivors of sexual assault and sexual abuse, conduct outreach and maintain networks in the community with other providers, organizations, and community leaders, and support the clinical integrity of the program.

Post-Conviction Victim Advocate

The Post-Conviction Victim Advocate is responsible for providing outreach and advocacy, information and referral services for sexual assault victims, their families and other secondary victims whose offender is under supervised probation in Jefferson County. The PCVA will provide victim representation on inter-disciplinary teams and in statewide groups. This is a new position subject to changes as the position develops.

Prevention Specialists

The Blue Bench is currently hiring for both Flexible Hourly Part-Time Prevention Specialists and 20-Hour Part-Time Prevention Specialists.

Do you have experience as a workshop facilitator or educator? Are you passionate about sexual violence prevention? If so, working as a Prevention Specialist with The Blue Bench might be the job for you! The primary role of the Prevention Specialist is to be an engaging and professional facilitator within all of The Blue Bench Prevention Programs. This position requires excellent public speaking skills, a strong understanding of the dynamics of sexual violence, and ability to work flexible hours. The Blue Bench serves our diverse Denver Metro communities and values diversity among staff. Flexible Hourly Part-Time Prevention Specialists:

  • Have the option to schedule their prevention programs as they are available week-to-week, and have flexibility in the number of hours worked each week (between 0 and 40 in any given week)
  • Facilitate prevention programs and do not have administrative duties in The Blue Bench office

This is a part-time, hourly position. The Blue Bench accepts applications on an ongoing basis and will notify applicants of the opportunity to interview if there is a position available with a strong match with their skill sets and availability.

20-Hour Part-Time Prevention Specialists:

  • Have set hours each week that will generally fall between 7:30am and 2:00pm to accommodate traditional school hours (our busiest hours), totaling 20 hours per week (with the option to take on additional prevention programs beyond the 20 hours)
  • Spend some of their time on administrative functions in The Blue Bench office when not scheduled for an offsite prevention program

Community Organizers

The Blue Bench is the only sexual assault prevention and care center in the country that runs a full-time, professional community organizing (door-to-door canvass) department!  We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills and a passion for social justice and a commitment to ending sexual violence in our communities.

Position hours:
FULL TIME: Mon-Fri, 2-10 PM
PART TIME: 3 days/ wk, 2-10 PM

Compensation:
FULL TIME:
$408.00/wk plus bonuses
PART TIME: $206.40/wk plus bonuses
