Bring Stability to a Survivor's Life

Research shows housing security is instrumental in a survivor's healing journey.

After a sexual assault, survivors can be overwhelmed with self-blame, fear of not being believed, and isolation from friends and family.

The Blue Bench offers therapy and group workshops to help build community and emotional safety, but what about a survivor's physical safety?

Economic insecurity often goes hand-in-hand with sexual violence

Clients at The Blue Bench are eligible for additional support through "Flex Funds." Flex Funds have helped survivors:

  • Escape dangerous situations and seek safety
  • Gain more access to transportation
  • Pay outstanding medical bills due to the violence that has occurred
  • Secure housing and other basic necessities
  • Fulfill other needs that support the survivor’s safety, healing, and well-being

Your donations can provide financial assistance such as rent/mortgage payments, utility fees, food, and other household items for survivors.

Support Survivors Today

Sincerely,

The Blue Bench Team

Vote YES on HB24-1349!

How the Measure Works: HB24-1349 is a critical opportunity to raise essential funds through a modest excise tax on guns, precursor parts, and ammunition sold by dealers and manufacturers in Colorado. This funding will:

  • Expand mental health services for veterans and youth
  • Promote school safety and gun violence prevention
  • Stabilize victim services, including crisis response, emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and case management

Endorse HB24-1349

  • Open positions:
    • Bilingual Case Manager
    • Bilingual On-Call Advocate, Part-time
