Day at the Capitol
From Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA):
COLORADO FACES A 40-50% CUT TO OUR ANNUAL VICTIMS OF CRIME ACT (VOCA) AWARD IN THE NEXT FUNDING CYCLE.
Many sexual assault and domestic violence (SA/DV) programs are already working beyond their means to meet the growing needs of survivors in their communities. Inconsistent funding hurts survivors and victim service providers alike, and a devastating cut like this could shutter programs across the state, leaving survivors without support in their time of need.
Join Violence Free Colorado and the Colorado Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) at our joint Day at the Capitol on March 7th and tell state legislators what the devastating VOCA cuts will mean for victim service programs and survivors in Colorado. Your voice is essential to helping legislators understand the critical need to fund victim services on the state level.
