Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month - April 2025

Sexual Assault Awareness & Prevention Month focuses on enhancing public understanding of sexual violence, amplifying the voices of survivors, and empowering us to work together to promote the safety and well-being of others.

Everyone in our communities deserves to live in safe and supportive environments where they are treated with respect. When our workplaces, schools, and communities work together to uphold safety and respect, we make progress in preventing sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.

The 2025 theme "Together We Act, United We Change" highlights the importance of working together to uphold safety, ensure respect for all people, and making progress in preventing sexual abuse, assault, and harassment.

2025 RISE Survivor Art Show

2025 RISE Survivor Art Show now open! April 1st through the 30th.

Since its inception in 2022, RISE has become more than an event; it is a cornerstone of our community's commitment to fostering awareness and support. Through vibrant artworks and powerful expressions, RISE creates a sacred platform for survivors to reclaim their narratives and shatter the pervasive silence surrounding sexual violence.

Change on Tap - November 2025

We need to change the conversation around alcohol and sexual violence.

The Blue Bench started Change on Tap to challenge the status quo and educate local alcohol-serving establishments to be better prepared to stop sexual assault.

Studies estimate that between 50% and 77% of sexual assaults involve alcohol consumption by either the victim or offender, and many times by both.

For Coloradans, 1 in 3 people experience some form of sexual violence in their lifetime, 80% of which takes place prior to the age of 25.

This is the time for our community to join together to eliminate sexual assault.

Cannabis for Consent

Cannabis For Consent is a program that aims to elevate healing and cultivate prevention education among Denver's cannabis companies.

Historically, many nonprofits shy away from partnering with and accepting money from cannabis companies. However, The Blue Bench believes in partnering with businesses in the cannabis industry, and we want our Cannabis For Consent partners to see themselves in our work.

For Coloradans, 1 in 3 people experience some form of sexual violence in their lifetime, 80% of which takes place prior to the age of 25.

That is why we have partnered with the following dispensaries to provide care, collaboration, and community to help create a safer Denver. We provide our Cannabis For Consent partners with resources and knowledge to help raise awareness of our services and the work we are doing in the community to eliminate sexual violence.

With the cannabis industry's dominance in Colorado, it's essential to extend sexual assault prevention education to all employees. That is why we have partnered with the City and County of Denver’s Cannabis Cares program under their Diversity and Inclusion badge. By participating in our Cannabis For Consent program, your dispensary can get one step closer to qualifying for that badge.
