5 Reasons you should bid in the change on tap auction

On Thursday, October 28th, The Blue Bench is excited to host Change on Tap, an evening devoted to re-imagining a safe night out here in metro Denver. While we’d love to see everyone there, we understand that life happens. Even if you cannot attend on the 28th, you can still take part in this fantastic evening! As of today, October 5th, the Change on Tap Auction is officially LIVE! There are so many reasons why you should jump on and place a bid on one of the many unique auction items, but here are just 5:

1. When you bid on an auction item, you’re strengthening our community be supporting The Blue Bench’s Survivor Support Services and Prevention Programming.

Each year, thousands of community members rely on The Blue Bench’s services. Due to the unprecedented setbacks of the pandemic, our waitlist for certain care services have increased substantially. Whether a survivor is in need of low to no cost therapy, or a school has the opportunity to receive important prevention education, your simple yet valuable participation in Change on Tap’s auction will ensure that these crucial resources are accessible to our community.

2. Everything you see in the Auction is LOCAL.

Change on Tap is a celebration of everything that makes the metro Denver community so great. From local craft beer and your favorite brewery to a hand-assorted chocolate basket from renowned chocolatiers, you’ll be certain to leave the auction with a treasure that can’t be found just anywhere!

3. Auction items are donated by committed allies in our mission to end sexual violence.

We’re proud to have many of our certified Safe Bars participating in the auction who are committed to creating a safe, fun environment for all of their patrons and staff. They take the issue of sexual violence very seriously and are prepared to proactively handle situations of sexual harassment and violence. While some of the organizations included in the auction are not yet Safe Bars, they are active allies in our fight and are passionate about creating a welcoming environment where all identities can enjoy a beer without fear of harm.

4. You’re just one bid away from unique experiences that you can share with your friends and family.

You’ll notice that many of these auction items entail an experience that you can share with others! Now is your chance to get a group of friends together to tour your favorite taproom and learn what goes on behind the scenes. These have been made possible by the bars and breweries who can’t wait to give you an inside look.
